Bud Light Unveils Holiday Hard Seltzers In Ugly Sweater Pack
Bud Light Seltzer’s New Seasonal Flavors Include Apple Crisp, Ginger Snap, and Peppermint Pattie
— Bud Light Seltzer is getting a holiday makeover as they unveil the “Ugly Sweater” variety pack featuring three new flavors.
Apple Crisp, Ginger Snap and Peppermint Pattie headline the pack, which will hit store shelves November 2nd, along with traditional Bud Light Seltzer’s Cranberry flavor to complete the ugly sweater themed packaging.
The trio of new flavors are combining the fun of the relatively new seltzer market with traditional holiday flavor favorites. Apple Crisp combines baked apple pie, nutmeg and cinnamon. Ginger Snap puts notes of brown sugar and vanillas together with Ginger spice and Peppermint Pattie is the tried and true combination of peppermint and dark chocolate.
Just like the original slim design Bud Light Seltzer cans, the ugly sweater pack contents are made with less than 1 gram of sugar and 100 calories and available for a limited time.
Since its launch in January, Bud Light Seltzer has been one of the biggest growth areas the company has seen in nearly four decades, with a nearly 600% growth in earnings for the latest quarter.
Anheuser-Busch InBev (BUD) is taking an aggressive approach in the suddenly crowded seltzer market which has nearly 65 brands available to most consumers. Hoping new flavors in a holiday theme will set them apart from other brands like White Claw, Molson Coors and Truly Hard Seltzer.
Hard Seltzer is becoming an important piece of the Anhueser-Busch puzzle. When Michelob Ultra Organic Seltzer debuts in 2021, it will join Bud Light Seltzer, Bon & Viv, Natty Light Seltzer and Social Club Seltzer as the latest lineup aimed at bringing in new drinkers to the hard seltzer market.
