Jack Daniel’s Country Cocktails

It’s time to hit the links because Jack Daniel’s just released a new line of hard teas from their Country Cocktail line. Jack Daniel’s is a brand synonymous with the South. The Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey story starts 150 years ago and lasts through prohibition, the Great Depression, and years of fierce competition. Jack Daniel’s is part of American culture. Synonymous with music culture, it’s a favorite in the country, rock ‘n’ roll, and punk scenes. Celebrities from Frank Sinatra to Jackie Gleason boosted its fame. However, unlike what you might assume, Jack Daniel’s Country Cocktails does not contain whiskey. Instead, it’s a line of malt beverages. This year, Jack Daniel’s is back with a new line of flavored malt beverages (FMBs). This lineup includes four flavors of hard tea with an alcohol level of 5% ABV.

“We are excited about our launch of Jack Daniel’s Country Cocktails Hard Tea entering the fast-growing hard tea category. Through our partnership with Brown-Forman and the iconic Jack Daniel’s brand, we’ve developed a new twist on the beverage that pays homage to its traditional southern roots,” says Keith Cunningham, VP of Partnerships – Pabst. “All four of our great flavors each shine in their own way. It’ll be hard to choose a favorite, but every flavor is guaranteed to deliver a smooth, bright, and refreshing experience for consumers.”

But What About the Caffeine?

Jack Daniel’s Country Cocktails Hard Tea contains black tea, meaning, it more than likely contains a small amount of caffeine. Hard teas typically contain a small amount of naturally occurring caffeine. For example, the top-selling hard tea, Twisted Tea Hard Tea, contains 30 grams of caffeine per can. This is about one-third as much caffeine as a coffee pod. Hard Teas are by no means new. They’ve been around since the early 2000s. However, hard teas have seen new popularity in the 2020s. In fact, the global hard tea market is expected to reach a substantial USD 14.50 billion by 2030. The emergence of hard teas represents a refreshing and naturally caffeinated alternative in the evolving landscape of alcoholic beverages. Unlike artificially caffeinated alcoholic drinks which have been banned in the United States, hard teas harness the natural caffeine found in tea leaves, sidestepping the FDA ban. Because of this, hard teas offer a moderate yet satisfying blend of alcohol and caffeine, appealing to a wide range of consumers.
