Bud Light Seltzer Review: Strawberry
Not The Pick Of The Crop, Bud Light’s Strawberry Seltzer Falls Short
— It’s finally a girls’ night in. After weeks of planning and coordinating everything that you and your squad has planned is in motion. The night is young and so is your vibe. So the theme is set to fun and frivolous. And everything on your checklist only adds to the mood. Munchies? Check. The stash of chick flicks? Check. Pillows and blankets? Check. Board games and magazines? Check. So it’s time to increase the buzz factor. Now all you need is a fun beverage for your night time revelry. Something light, something bubbly and something gentle. Everything you’d think Bud Light Strawberry Seltzer would be…but unfortunately is not.
Maybe Less Is More
This hard seltzer really does lack flavor and has low carbonation, but maybe not all is lost. While it would seem like a disadvantage that Bud Light misses the mark when it comes to flavor or carbonation, perhaps it presents the drinker with a chance to experiment and think outside the box by mixing it with other drinks. And while we are on the subject of less, now is a good time to tell you that the ABV content is at a modest five percent, calories a mere one hundred and carbs at only two grams per serving. And let’s not forget our sugar content for the weight-watchers. Good news: there’s only one gram of sugar per serving. So you needn’t worry about counting the cans. Less is more, so it would seem with this strawberry hard seltzer. Ironically, what it doesn’t have actually makes it a functional and flexible seltzer.
Bud Light Strawberry Hard Seltzer Needs A Helping Hand
Normally a flavor like strawberry would try to steal the spotlight and not play well with others. But this strawberry flavored Bud Light Seltzer doesn’t need to shine alone (nor does it). Mix it up with some vodka and create your own version of a Cosmopolitan. Or just heighten your beer-drinking experience by adding more suds since you typically get a faint whiff of Bud Light beer with most of their seltzers. A mixer is always a good fix for a less than desirable taste. You could even pair the drink with crushed ice and real strawberries for that natural, cool flavor. Feel like being even more adventurous? Bring out the tequila. Add some triple sec, mint leaves and don’t forget the salted glass rim. Margaritas, anyone?
Berry Disappointing
Overall, our Bud Light seltzer review experience with their strawberry flavor was pretty disappointing. If you’re a strawberry lover you probably won’t be happy with this selection. But if we were to try to find a silver lining, it would be that this hard seltzer could take on a new identity for each drinker. Even though it has weaker strawberry flavor and low carbonation levels, it could be a good team player if you combine it with the right teammates. Add a dash of your favorite hard liquor and you just might have found yourself a new mixer with a kick. Otherwise, as a hard seltzer it’s still a low-calorie, low-carb adult beverage, so there’s always that, too.
