Truly Seltzer Gets a Total Makeover
In 2023, Truly Hard Seltzer decided to change everything about its Truly drinks. Truly Hard Seltzer has decreed that it’s time to throw out the old, including the old packaging and its hard iced tea line of flavors. And it is time to bring in the new, including a new look and a large array of new Truly drink options. Basically, Truly is doing a total makeover in the hopes that fans will perk up and take notice.
First, Truly wants fans to be aware that Truly now has real fruit juice (as opposed to using natural flavors to achieve its taste). This recipe change took place in August; however, the brand reports that most Truly drinkers are unaware that the drinks now have real fruit juice. In addition to this change, the brand is also establishing two hard seltzer categories, “lightly flavored” and “bolder flavor.” There will now be a label on each new pack that indicates if the flavors are light or bold. Along with that, the packs will get a complete branding overhaul.

Truly Vodka: Revamp and New Flavor Packs
One of the biggest (and most exciting) changes in the Truly drink overhaul is that there will be two new Truly vodka soda packs and seven new flavors. The brand-new Truly Vodka Soda Classic Pack will have Mango, Lime, Pineapple, and Blueberry. The second pack is the Truly Vodka Soda Paradise Pack. This one will also contain Mango; however, the three remaining flavors are new, including Watermelon, Passion Fruit, and Blood Orange. The third pack that will be available is the Twist of Flavor Pack. This pack contains the vodka soda flavors we’ve already seen, Blackberry & Lemon, Cherry & Lime, Pineapple & Cranberry, and Peach & Tangerine. However, these flavors are getting a brand-new look. The Twist of Flavor Pack will also be available in 12 packs of 12 oz cans in April. Truly has not released a date yet for when we will see the new vodka soda packs.
What Happened to Truly Iced Tea?
If you’re a hard tea fan, you might be wondering why the Truly Iced Tea Packs are vanishing off the shelves. We’re sorry to tell you that Truly has discontinued the Iced Tea flavor line. However, we do have some good news. According to a February 15th press release, Truly is replacing the Hard Iced Tea flavor line by committing to three seasonal packs. The packs will release “each trimester in 2023.” The first of these packs is the Wonderworld Pack, which was released earlier this month. This pack is “lightly flavored” and features four brand-new flavor mashups. The flavors are Citrus Clouds, Strawberry Breeze, Peach Drop, and Wonder What…? (Truly’s first mystery flavor). We can expect to see a second flavor pack this summer. The summer pack will be called Red, White & Tru. The third pack will be in the fall or winter of 2023, but this Truly drink pack is still a mystery.

I agree with Thomas, I’m disappointed that the tea was discontinued. I’m sitting here drinking a Wonderworld flavor and am completely Underwhelmed. Why mess with a good thing…but that’s marketing
Can’t believe you discontinued the truly teas. They were the best. Very disappointed customer, I don’t care for any of the other kinds. Can’t stand the after taste. I will no longer purchase another truly product.

The tea was the only refreshing drink I’ve ever had on the truly line. They were my favorite drink. The others are all too sweet or just aren’t good.

My local store couldn’t keep the tea stocked. I’m pretty sure the punch and lemonades have been there for years. Bring back the tea!!!

I too only like the Truly Iced Teas. I love all of the original flavors and found them very refreshing year round. Evidently customer opinion doesn’t matter! And what I find strange is that none of the retailers that sell or sold the Truly Iced Teas are aware that it was discontinued because I’ve been asking them for months and no one has known why they haven’t been receiving new shipments. Bring it back, bring it back, bring it back!!!
One more thing I’ve never understood. When a product is difficult to get I assume that’s because it’s very popular. So why do so many popular products end up being discontinued and replaced by new inferior ones. BRING IT BACK!!!

So sad! That was the only drink I could tolerate! The tea balanced out the “too sweet” flavoring of all seltzers! When beer started upsetting my stomach, I tried the teas and and loved them! I really didn’t like the half and half or the lemon flavored so wasted half the pack! Bring back, strawberry, raspberry, peach ice tea!!!

Truly Teas were my absolute favorite, that was all I drank when it came to alcohol. None of the other seltzers or teas even compare. Back to beer it is and no more Truly brands.

Agree – the tea is the only flavor our family liked. We’ve tried all the flavors that come out and they just aren’t good – sorry. Not sure if the corporation looks at these comments and/or takes them into consideration… But I figured it’s worth a try — please please please please please bring back the truly iced teas.

You have a great thing with truly ice tea. Reminds me of coke and tab it wasn’t broken. When you did make it most stores were always out. Promote the ice tea and maybe drink it in your board meetings. Just a thought.
