Drinking High Noon Tequila Seltzers on Cinco de Mayo

Cinco de Mayo is a day for celebrating Mexican history and culture with family and friends. For many, it’s also a day of celebrating the joys of drinking delicious tequila cocktails and seltzers. In honor of Cinco de Mayo, David and Kira tasted all four flavors of High Noon Tequila Seltzer, gave their thoughts on each flavor, and ranked the flavors from worst to best.

David:

My name is David. This is Kira, and welcome to Seltzer Nation. And today, we are reviewing High Noon Tequila Seltzers.

Kira:

Just in time for Cinco de Mayo. It’s like St. Patrick’s Day but cooler because it’s tequila.

High Noon Tequila Seltzer Lime

David:

We’ll start with High Noon Tequila Seltzer Lime.

Kira:

Oh, I can smell the tequila.

David:

You know what this reminds me of off the nose? The tequila cave in Epcot, Disney World. You get those mixed drinks, and then you try to drink your way around the world.

Kira: [takes a sip of High Noon Tequila Seltzer Lime]

That is delicious.

David:

That’s very good.

Kira:

Wow. The tequila is not straight up in your face. It’s a little hidden by the lime. So if you are not a tequila lover, the lime is covering [the tequila taste]. [The lime] gives such a nice refreshing feel to what you’re drinking.

High Noon Tequila Seltzer Strawberry

David:

Moving on to cup number two, High Noon Tequila Seltzer Strawberry.

Kira:

Oh, that [smells like] strawberry.

David:

Ooh, that’s very strawberry, like strawberry shortcake.

Kira:

It smells like strawberry gum.

[takes a sip]

That’s delicious. Holy moly.

David:

Holy moly is right. Strawberry gets tame on the pallet. [There is a] twinge of tequila but less tequila than the lime. That’s delicious.

Kira:

This is [like] a strawberry daiquiri but [tastes like] a virgin [daiquiri].

High Noon Tequila Seltzer Grapefruit

David:

Moving on to Grapefruit. Not even bringing it to my nose. As soon as I cracked the can—

Kira:

You can smell it.

David:

Grapefruit galore.

Kira: [takes a sip]

That is so good. I think if you like grapefruit or want something that is not as sweet as Strawberry, the Grapefruit Tequila Seltzer is going to do it for you.

High Noon Tequila Seltzer Passionfruit

David:

Going in deep with Passionfruit and a little bit of a long pour for me. All right, let’s find out more about passion fruit. It smells semi-sweet.

Kira:

I’m getting a white grape [scent].

David:

Oh, the white grape is coming through in a big way.

Kira:

I’m going to do it.

[takes a sip]

I would say out of the pack, this is my least favorite, but it’s not horrible. If I were to have it, I would drink it.

David:

On its own, it’s good. But it’s not compared to the other three. I think it’s really solid. I do.

Ranking the High Noon Tequila Seltzer Flavors

David:

So, Kira, we need to decide what is our favorite. We need to rank these, so people know which ones to drink and which ones to hand to their friends. Are you ready?

Kira:

Sure.

David:

All right, Kira, what is your number four?

Kira:

My number four is Passionfruit.

David:

My number four is Passionfruit as well. Kira, your number three?

Kira:

Strawberry.

David:

I’m going to go with Strawberry as well because it is so strawberry. Kira, what’s your number two?

Kira:

I like Grapefruit because I love grapefruit.

David:

I’m going to pick Lime as my number two. I love it, but it is the most tequila-forward. I’m going to want something a little bit more balanced for my number one.

Kira:

I do want more tequila. If I’m grabbing a tequila seltzer, I want that tequila taste. So in my number one, I’m going to pick [High Noon Tequila Seltzer] Lime.

David:

My number one is Grapefruit. I think it has a really interesting taste, and I could literally drink these all day.

Kira:
